2012 heralded the start of a new era for DCD. A rebranding saw the group renamed DCD, executive management bolstered and the business streamlined to realise maximum synergistic value and integration for future growth.

DCD now operates four key clusters, each focussed on a specific sector:

The restructuring further entrenches DCD as a preferred partner to governments and the market leader in heavy engineering in Africa. The group is also now ideally positioned to capitalise on development in emerging economies worldwide, and on niche industry expansion in developed economies such as the USA, Europe and China.

DCD has a strong B-BBEE platform. The group is 37,76% black owned and has a Level 5 scorecard rating. A priority remains job creation in SA and continually enhancing its internal skills development.

DCD’s history demonstrates the group’s capacity to sustain and grow. Business practices and continued re-investment in operations and resources, support and development of the communities in which we operate, commitment to development in SA and environmentally-conscious initiatives are part of the fabric of the group. Economic sustainability rests on the ability to provide products and services at a sustainable profit level. To this end DCD is customer-centric, committed to the highest standards of service and timeous delivery and continually assesses output quality, cost and added value, and safety using quantitative management techniques.

R&D is a key focus for the group. This is underpinned by continued investment in innovation and a commitment to acting as an incubator of human capital and intellectual property. The group prides itself on employing only the most skilled engineers and process designers.
